Supplemental Health Care has an immediate opening for a local Elementary School Nurse, RN to work in a local Elementary School we have partnered with in Buffalo, NY. This school has roughly 450 students in a 'promise' neighborhood. This Buffalo schools focus is: academics, developing healthy minds and bodies. Learning is rigorous, adaptable and supports a range of student needs including nursing needs and support. They offer Instructional “coaches” throughout the school to help create diverse learning experiences and individualized plans for best student outcomes. Hours are 8:45A to 4:15P working the Buffalo Public school calendar. $1,340 - $1,457 per week The Elementary School Nurse, RN will be responsible for assisting students with general illness and injury during the school day as well as training for health, nutrition, family resources and support. The Elementary School RN's duties will also include, preventative education pertaining to health conditions such as; diabetes, asthma, allergies, etc. The School RN should be a team player with a collaborative approach, very flexible and have at least one year of experience in pediatrics or school nursing required.
Valid NYS RN License BLS 1 year of recent pediatric nursing experience or 3-5 years of acute care annual physical/ppd MMR
